Six formats cover essentially the whole market. Each fails in a different way.

Lyophilized powder

Freeze-dried cake or loose powder in a sealed vial. The dominant format. Mass is the label claim; you supply the water.

Watch forA cracked, shrunken or oily-looking cake suggests a broken cold chain or a failed freeze-drying cycle.

Pre-mixed solution

Already reconstituted, sold ready to draw. Convenient and the least stable — potency falls with time in solution.

Watch forCloudiness, floaters or any colour where the compound should be clear.

Pre-filled pen

Pharmacy-channel presentation for approved GLP-1 products, dosed in clicks or fixed increments.

Watch forBatch numbers that do not match the carton, or a dose dial that does not click cleanly.

Capsule / sublingual / nasal

Oral, sublingual and intranasal formats. Mass per unit is small and excipients dominate.

Watch forEffectively unverifiable by appearance; assay of the finished unit is the only real check.

Topical serum / cream

Cosmetic-strength peptide in a carrier base, usually GHK-Cu or signal peptides.

Watch forConcentration is often stated as a percentage of a blend, not of active peptide.

Blend vial

Two or more actives in one vial under a single total-mass claim.

Watch forThe ratio between actives is the number that matters and is almost never disclosed.

Metabolic & GLP-based compounds

The highest-volume category on the public market. Sold as lyophilized powder in single- or multi-dose vials, and as pre-mixed pens through licensed pharmacy channels.

Semaglutide

Identifying it is not the same as verifying it

Nothing on this page tells you what is inside your vial. Labels, cakes, crimp seals and vial sizes are all trivially reproducible. Content and identity require an assay.
